     Everything!
Most importantly validating the client experience and therefore helpful   ways that we as clinicians explain the neurobiology and behaviors to clients   and supports.

All of the group activities in demonstrating brain activity. It   really reinforces how important it is to evaluate the way we empower our   clients.
How the value of the client being the expert is the most important part of creating change.

The explanation of the genetic and cognitive picture traits and how to use them productively in assisting adults with AN.

The experiential nature of the training; the reflections from  clinical experience; the metaphors used throughout.

    " Neurobiological empathy"

Learning in more depth about TBT-S, its theoretical and research base, and hearing clinical experiences

        - clear explanations
   - interactive activities
   - experiential learning
   - time for discussion
   - practical examples
   - emphasis on practical tools and client-centered practice

Practical examples; engaging speakers/presenters.

Engaging activities; providing examples; explaining concepts.

     Slides, practice, activities.

Practicing the tools; language in small groups.

All of it, but bringing all together linking the structure with the key components   was especially helpful.

Everything was amazing. The practical activities are so useful   in bringing the theories to life and reflecting on the experiences of   clients, supports and clinicians. Loved the meet the expert activity.

The experiential exercises were crucial to my learning and so significant.

Walking through and experiencing all of the activities; and contextualizing traits   into treatment.

     How   the experiential activities always traced back to the traits;

Understanding  the neurobiology and how that causes symptoms; how clients can use traits to help them change behavior.

Experiential practice! and process/reflection after as a group.

Experiential activities.

Experiential activities; reflection/critique.

Doing the experiential activities to practice and embed the knowledge.

The facilitation was experiential. tried on everything will make delivery that much easier having experienced it as a participant. Also, Laura Hill was such   an entertaining + charismatic presenter. She explained things so clearly.

Brain wave thumbs up; Experiential work; Practice! Practice! Practice! to consolidate what was taught.

All of  the practical components and engaging with the big group; good mix of content   and education, movement etc.

All the practice and experiential exercises & length of time, as needed a few days to consolidate information + Laura's honesty and facilitation style.

Understanding more through activities what a client is experiencing and learning the skill of explaining this to family. Learning and being able to explain biological impacts.

Being  given the opportunity to complete the interactive client tools, helped to gain a better understanding of the clients' experience, and helps to practice for using the tools in the future.

Lots of opportunity to practice the skills and activities; Laura's style of training, engaging every single person in discussions.

Mix of theory and "trying on" all of the   tools/activities and telling of stories + options to ask questions in a group frequently.

Repetition;  processing after action; practice/persistence; structure/routine, e.g., post   exercise processing; linking back to traits ongoing; neurobiological learnings and having them reinforced throughout; warm and engaging human approach for facilitating.

Putting it all together- I’m very keen in implementation at my service. Clarity on the framework of creating a whole story using neurobiology, experiential activities and skills

Reviewing the process with working through assessment, then doing strait profile etc Behav Agreement structure & process for diff groups Toolbox strategies.

What helped the least?

Level 1 and 2 Face-to-Face

Sydney, Australia, Adolescents

February/March, 2023

Understanding the personality traits- how they could be used to   treat patients with An
Understanding neurobiology and neuroscience and how it applies to the ED

What helped most was doing the experiential activities, learning about the neurobiological processes in anorexia, and reframing traits as strengths

Understanding and learning to explain the neurobiological aspects of AN.
Using experiential learning to teach concepts.

Really enjoyed the experiential techniques, experiencing the   importance/power of those. Also role playing the personality trait checklist.

     Neuroscience underpinnings

The training being interactive. The visual slides, having breaks   and the activities.

Getting a wider understanding of the neurobiology of AN.

Mixture of lecturing and practical/interactive components

     Experiential learning!

     The experiencing activities

    The practical application

Practical activities being walked through, neurobiology,

Simulating the lived experience.

The trainers were amazing. The hands on examples and experiential   training

34 = reported nothing was unhelpful

     Lots of information to process.

At times it felt like we moved through some of the research on   the brain quite quickly, needed more time to process.

I would like to have had slides ahead of time.

Nothing;  every element of this training was just so beneficial & crucial to my   learning including the education,  experiential exercises, stories and reflections.

I was a lone clinician. Having an additional clinician from my service to reflect on program and service development.

Training overall was excellent. Unable to fault any aspects.

Probably having tools all separated would have been good to have a folder/binder but recognize this as my own trait!

9 = Nothing or left blank

Nothing,  some slides were difficult to take in but ok as could refer to book.

I got a little lost in the middle, although still enjoyed it anyway.

Seeing  how the activities linked the principles on the last day; would be good to  see framework sooner.

Introduction to the neurobiological understanding of AN

I loved the emphasis on neurobiology and   helpful metaphors and analogies to take forward in clinical work. The   reflective exercises were very useful.

Learning about how to incorporate and make space for peoples traits in a way that is productive within ED treatment.

Discussing neurobiology and understanding the importance of   traits and temperament.
